This is a good start. Every painting starts with an idea. If we knew what it was you were trying to convey, it might help us help you. My personnal feeling on this is that it needs a light source from the right breaking through the clouds. Also hints of terrain behind what you already have... almost like sihouetted rocks and mounds but the mist is keeping you from seeing it's detail. Maybe someone looking over the bridge leaning on the ropes. I think a little more story here could make this a really nice piece. Does this help?

I agree it needs a light source. But you have effectively conveyed the feeling of isolation and loneliness. I'd think twice before crossing that bridge
